Newport Media achieves key milestone of 10 million mobile TV ICs shipped worldwide

LAKE FOREST, USA: Newport Media, an innovative fabless communications semiconductor company supplying products to the broadcast media industry, announced it has reached a key milestone in company history with cumulative shipments of more than 10 million 65nm SoCs that address multiple global standards for broadcast Mobile TV.

With the industry’s broadest portfolio of Mobile TV SoCs, Newport Media is experiencing rapid growth in demand for its 65nm solutions. The company’s offering includes products that support analog TV, the ISDB-T standard in Japan and Latin America, and CMMB Mobile DTV standards in China.
