PALO ALTO, USA: DFMSim has received a multiple unit purchase order for SMARTreporter, its newest manufacturing software product. The customer is a leading Japanese supplier of metrology and inspection tools used worldwide by manufacturers of advanced semiconductors.
Delivery of the first SMARTreporter unit is slated for early 2010. Additional shipments will occur throughout the year.
SMARTreporter is the first in a new class of tools that facilitate intelligent, real-time analysis of critical metrology data that drives quick action to improve yield. SMART (Simulation of Manufacturing data and Analysis in Real Time) products enable customers to predict, measure and control yield-limiting defects while manufacturing advanced devices.
"This order validates the technical superiority of DFMSim's SMART family of products," said DFMSim's chief executive officer, Anantha Sethuraman.
"We are working closely with our Japanese partner to deliver advanced yield analysis solutions in the next few quarters. In 2010, DFMSim will be releasing other SMART products that will arm engineers with the capabilities to predict manufacturability and yield throughout the entire process flow," Sethuraman added.
