Cypress CapSense solution controls innovative, LED-based user interface on new Epson multifunction printers

SAN JOSE, USA: Cypress Semiconductor Corp. announced that Epson has selected the CapSense capacitive touch solution to implement buttons and LED controls in its new multi-function printers.

The new Epson Artisan 725, Stylus Photo PX720WD, Stylus Photo TX720WD, and Stylus Photo PX660 multi-function printers have a unique control panel with LEDs that intuitively guide users through common tasks. The printers offer a wide array of features, including wireless and wired connectivity and automatic double-sided printing to save paper.

Cypress is the worldwide leader in capacitive touch-sensing with the industry’s broadest portfolio. Its PSoC-based CapSense devices offer unmatched flexibility and integration, addressing a broad range of designs from complex, feature-rich applications to simple button replacement. The easy-to-use solution offers leading noise immunity and water-resistance for reliable operation.
