WhizChip Design Technologies and BAE Sales ink representative agreement

SAN JOSE, USA: WhizChip Design Technologies, a leading semiconductor and systems design company, has signed a definitive agreement with manufacturers sales representative BAE Sales.

BAE Sales, which is based in Silicon Valley, will sell and market WhizChip’s ASIC/SoC design and verification services to large integrated device manufacturers, fabless semiconductor houses and foundries as well as electronic design vendors throughout Northern California.

India-based WhizChip recently launched in the US market. The agreement with BAE Sales will expand its outreach to US companies. Today, the development of ASIC/SoCs is a collaborative effort with many moving parts and an accelerating level of integration as more firms outsource and utilize third party semiconductor intellectual property in their designs. This demands more design, verification and validation.

More importantly, it calls for a trusted partner with strong technology “know how” coupled with a cost-effective business model. The company’s proprietary methodologies like Xplan™ and Whizboard™, as well as its industry first, fixed-cost model, create a predictable design environment for WhizChip’s customers. As a result, the company has grown rapidly, executing all design projects on time or ahead of schedule.

“This is an important milestone for our company,” stated Prasanna Shroff, executive director, WhizChip Design Technologies. “We are a strong technology company and so the technical competence BAE demonstrated throughout its entire field organization will be a huge asset for WhizChip in the San Francisco Bay Area.”

“WhizChip’s solutions offers a unique value proposition for U.S. customers,” noted Michael Hornig, president and CEO of BAE Sales. “WhizChip’s ability to repeatedly deliver design projects in a predictable environment will be a major advantage for customers and partners.”
