Alta Data releases MIL-STD-1553 PCI Express products

RIO RANCHO, USA: Alta Data Technologies (Alta) has released two new MIL-STD-1553 products for PCI Express (PCIE) systems: One (1L) and four lane (4L) PCIE-1553 interface cards.

These cards provide many industry-first features, including the first low profile PCI Express 1553 interface card. The PCI Express 1553 cards support Windows™, Linux, RTOS and LabVIEW™ systems and are the only products that can run and execute the SAE AS4111 5.2 RT Validation tests, and thus, truly 1553B Notice II and IV compliant.

“These new PCIE4L-1553 and PCIE1L-1553 cards, based on our proven AltaCore-1553, provide advanced MIL-STD-1553 capabilities for PCI Express systems - and we went a step further to provide both single lane and four lane PCI Express models.

The single lane card (1L) is a low profile design for embedded or rack-mount machines. While many of our competitors implemented PCI Express with low throughput PCI bridge chips, Alta implemented a native PCI Express design for increased performance and MSI interrupt support,” says Jake Haddock, CTO of Alta.

Harry Wild, VP of Sales of Alta, states: “These new 1553 PCI Express cards provide interface and test capabilities second to none, and our AltaAPI™, AltaView-1553™ analyzer and AltaRTVal™ RT Validation software tools are the latest in modular, portable technologies. The PCIE4L offers 1-4 and the PCIE1L offers 1-2 dual redundant 1553 network channels. Customers will achieve significant savings in integration and test time with these new products The A/D signal capture and signal generators are industry-leading features not found on competitor’s products. We also offer single-card combination ARINC and 1553 PCI Express Configurations.”
