CHANDLER, USA: Everspin Technologies and Future Electronics have entered into a worldwide franchise distribution agreement, expanding their previous agreement to now include distribution throughout Asia and Japan. This expands on the previous agreement that covered Europe and the Americas.
In addition, Everspin becomes part of Future’s Registration Program. This places MRAM at the top of the list of solutions for a wide range of markets including enterprise storage, datacom/telecom, industrial automation, transportation, gaming and energy management.
“As the industry’s search for an ideal non-volatile, higher performance memory continues, Everspin is increasing our focus with leading electronics distributors to make MRAM solutions available to customers around the world,” said Phill LoPresti, CEO for Everspin Technologies. “Having the high-caliber Future Electronics team behind us further recognizes the value of MRAM’s unique characteristics.”
Future Electronics will provide global sales, design support and fulfillment services for Everspin’s growing portfolio of non-volatile MRAM products. Everspin’s MRAM portfolio includes 8- and 16-bit parallel I/O products ranging from 256Kb through 16Mb densities and serial peripheral interface I/O products ranging from 256Kb through 4Mb densities, available across industrial and commercial temperature ranges. MRAM provides a high performance, high reliability memory solution for applications requiring SRAM performance as well as data retention without power.
“This expanded agreement with Everspin enables us to offer our customers around the world the only family of MRAM solutions available today,” said Frantz Saintellemy, corporate vice president and chief technology officer for Future. “MRAM is a compelling technology and matches our goal of bringing leading edge technology with superior service to customers of all sizes around the world.”
