SiTune facilitates multi standard system integration for STB and TV application with its newest universal CMOS RF tuner

SAN JOSE, USA: SiTune Corp., a leader in CMOS radio-frequency (RF) and mixed signal Integrated Circuits for Multi-Media and Broadband communication applications, has announced its latest generation of the state of the art Universal CMOS TV tuners based upon its P2TUNE architecture.

STN-50T4000 is a highly integrated Zero-IF Tuner that supports both Cable standards including ANSI-SCTE 4.0, ITU-T J.83 Annexes A(DVB-C), B, C and Digital Terrestrial standards including DVB-T/T2, DTMB and ISDB-T with the lowest power consumption and minimum BOM cost.

Vahid Toosi, founder and CEO of SiTune, said: "Today’s STB and TV applications demand a multi-standard Tuner that can be used for common platforms. The STN50T4000 has the capability of receiving fully loaded spectrum of cable signals while its low noise figure makes it the best choice for terrestrial signal reception.

"With 230mW of power dissipation, STN-50T4000 eases the mind of the system integrators as they can use multiple of this device on the PCB without being worry about the heat management. It saves the cost of the PCB and heat sink and increases the reliability of the design.

"With sophisticated RF AGC loops, STN-50T4000 passes the terrestrial specification for Taboo Adjacent channels, a feature that has been long considered an advantage for CAN tunes until now.”
