INDIA: At the forthcoming SNUG India, CircuitSutra will demonstrate VP-QSP integrated with Synopsys Virtualizer and ARM Fast Models.
A demo Virtual Prototype is created in Synopsys Platform creater tool using the models from VP-QSP and the Arm Cortex A9 CPU model from ARM Fast models. This VP boots the Linux operating system, Synopsys Virtual Prototype Analyzer (VPA) is used to debug the embedded software.
The following packages from VP-QSP are demonstrated:
VP-QSP-UART: It can be used to develop the model of any UART IP very quickly. It also comes with the backend that allows to connect the UART with the terminal. This demo includes the model of an UART IP develped using VP-QSP-UART integrated into the VP, and connected to a terminal window.
VP-QSP-ETHERNET: It can be used to develop the model of any Ethernet controller very quickly. It also comes with the backend virtualization that allows to connect the virtual model to the real network of the host computer. This demo includes the model of an Ethernet controller develped using VP-QSP-ETHERNET integrated into the VP, and connected to the network of host computer. We are able to access the internet on the virtual platform through this.
VP-QSP-DISPLAY: It can be used to develop the model of any Display controller very quickly. It also comes with the backend LCD display. This demo includes the model of an Display controller develped using VP-QSP-DISPLAY integrated into the VP, and connected to LCD display.
VP-QSP-ARMCoreTile: Models of basic ARM peripherals.
