SINGAPORE: Fujitsu Semiconductor Asia Pte Ltd announced the release of eight models of the MB95630 series to enhance the lineup of the F2MC-8FX Family. The new product employs a DC brushless motor controller and an analog voltage comparator, making it more suitable for motor control applications.
The MB95630 series is a member of the F2MC-8FX Family. As an updated version of the 95330H series, it is pin-to-pin compatible with the 95330H series. Samples will be available from late September 2011 and shipment will start in January 2012.
With the increasing demand in the market for energy savings, it is becoming more popular to have white home appliances (air-conditioner, dish-washer, fan etc.) and automated office equipment (fax machine, PC) equipped with 8bit microcontrollers that possess DC brushless control functionality. In response to market needs, Fujitsu Semiconductor has expanded the lineup of 8bit microcontroller products from the F2MC-8FX family by launching the MB95630 series. This new series has a low-pin chip count of 32 pins.
Aside from the support for DC brushless motor control functionality, this series also integrates an analog voltage comparator and is compatible with various composite timers and communication functions. Therefore, it can be used as a main microcontroller as well as a sub-microcontroller to supplement function insufficiency in existing system configurations.
The 1-wire on-chip debug module embedded in the chip allows occupation of only one pin when a program is being debugged and this will benefit customers in their product development. The product also employs a high precision CR oscillation circuit that can be used as the source clock of the microcontroller system, thereby reducing the number of external components required for product development.
Fujitsu Semiconductor plans to provide samples of the MB95630 series from late September 2011 with the samples being priced at $1 each.
