AIX EN PROVENCE, FRANCE: In its first public exhibition since completing the acquisition of the Secure Microcontroller Solutions division of Atmel Corp., INSIDE Contactless will showcase its newly expanded product portfolio at Cartes and IDentification 2010, parading a broad range of semiconductors and integrated solutions for secure transactions and digital identity applications.
INSIDE will be demonstrating the versatility of its solutions in its booth during the three-day event in Paris. In addition, Agnes Revel, director of key accounts and business development for the NFC business line, will make a presentation on getting NFC mobile phones to market faster, and INSIDE's Open NFC(tm) protocol stack will contend for a Sesames Award as a finalist in the software category.
Visitors to CARTES in Paris, Dec. 7-9, can watch the INSIDE demonstrations at any time during the exhibition at the INSIDE booth 4L022, located in Hall 4 of the Paris-Nord Villepinte-France Exhibition Centre. INSIDE will have technical and product experts available in the booth to discuss and demonstrate products.
"This Cartes event marks a very special occasion for INSIDE Contactless as we enter a new era in the company's evolution, having now acquired the unique people, skills and technologies we need to both reinforce our leadership in contactless technology and allow us to expand our business into new areas," said Remy de Tonnac, CEO for INSIDE Contactless.
"As the only company 100 percent focused on secure semiconductors, we are very proud to present our newly expanded product portfolio to Cartes attendees, and look forward to demonstrating how we can help them deliver exciting, innovative new solutions to market more easily and more cost-effectively."
INSIDE and its partners are preparing a number of demonstrations to underscore the versatility of INSIDE's solutions for secure transactions and e-ID applications, highlighting INSIDEĊs new contact and contactless smart card processor and smart card reader solutions, VaultIC security module, new SecuRead(tm) system-in-package NFC solution and other secure products.
INSIDE will demonstrate capturing an e-ID photograph, loading it into a dual-interface smart card through a contact reader and retrieving it again using a contactless reader.
Another demonstration will show how INSIDE's VaultIC security module can be used in a USB e-Token to provide a cost-effective solution for portable authentication. INSIDE will also demonstrate mobile devices used for payment, access control, transit fares and ICAO e-ID applications.
