SANTA CLARA, USA & TAIPEI, TAIWAN: SiliconBlue Technologies, a leader in custom mobile device solutions targeting mobile handset applications, and DediProg, a leading provider of production solutions for programmable electronic devices, have announced the immediate availability of high-volume programming support for SiliconBlue’s non-volatile configuration memory (NVCM) technology with the Race100 family of industrial gang programmers.
Designed for volume manufacturing environments, the Race100-S4 and Race100-S8 gang programmers can also program standard serial FLASH devices, and is available with an optional tray auto-handler.
“NVCM enables our custom mobile devices to be an ASIC-like single chip solution,” said Kapil Shankar, CEO of SiliconBlue. “DediProg’s Race100 provides our customers a choice between receiving pre-programmed devices from SiliconBlue, or programming devices themselves in their production environment.”
Jean-Christian Martin-Garrin, Director of Marketing and co-founder of DediProg said, “SiliconBlue is penetrating a new market that requires fast and reliable programming support for high volumes. Our gang programmers have been specifically designed to support this requirement.”
The Race100 family of gang programmers is available from DediProg, or through their authorized resellers. The Race100-S4 is available for $1800 and the Race100-S8 is available for $3480. Dedicated socket adapters for various device packages are also available.
