SAN FRANCISCO, USA: Xilinx Inc. announced it will showcase smarter solutions for data center efficiency at the Intel Developers Forum 2014.
Through a series of demonstrations, Xilinx will highlight cutting-edge high performance flash storage and FPGA-based acceleration solutions for use in next-generation data centers including Xilinx’s acceleration reference design and OpenCL development technology for FPGAs.
These All Programmable 28nm and 20nm silicon-based solutions enable operators to increase data center efficiency and capacity, optimize the return on invested capital, and decrease operating costs. To learn more, visit Xilinx at booth #251, September 9-11, 2014 at the Moscone West Convention Center, San Francisco, California.
Key Value Store Application Acceleration
The Xilinx demonstration is a broadly applicable key value store workload acceleration engine (i.e. Memcached and NoSQL) that delivers significant performance/watt acceleration at substantially lower latency and compliments the OpenCL development environment for Xilinx® devices and Vivado HLS development tools. This solution leverages the Alpha Data ADM-PCIE-7V3 board which is based on the All Programmable Virtex-7 FPGA.
NVMe Flash Storage Platform featuring Kintex-7 FPGA
This demonstration is an NVMe-based flash storage solution running on a Xilinx Kintex-7 FPGA development platform showcasing a fully compliant NVMe spec 1.1 interface. It leverages Xilinx’s leading SerDes performance and power optimized FPGA solution while enabling the latest industry protocol for the flash storage market.
