SANTA CLARA, USA: e2v aerospace and defense announced that its hi-rel semiconductor operation in Santa Clara (formerly QP Semiconductor) has completed full qualification of the QP82S123, 256-bit, field-programmable bipolar PROM.
This product is fully re-engineered and manufactured on a mainstream bipolar process, and has been approved for compliance to the DSCC Standard Microcircuit Drawing. This product can serve as a drop-in replacement for the Philips/Signetics 82S123 PROM used in key mil/aero applications.
The QP82S123 is available in two package options: the 16-pin ceramic DIP and the 16-pin ceramic Flatpack, both manufactured in compliance with the latest revision of MIL-PRF-38535, making them ideally suited for military temperature applications. The QP82S123 is available as MIL-STD-883 devices or in compliance with the applicable DSCC SMD# M38510/20702.
“e2v aerospace and defense has successfully completed the qualification of another key device for aerospace and defense contractors with the introduction of the QP82S123 PROM,” said Dean Frazier, Corporate VP of e2v aerospace and defense.
“The addition of this DSCC compliant device adds to the over 3,700 devices already approved and available from e2v. We continue to meet the needs of mission-critical aerospace and defense programs by allowing extended lifetimes without costly redesign or extensive Last Time Buys.”
