Conexant appoints senior VP of product marketing

NEWPORT BEACH, USA: Conexant Systems Inc., a leading supplier of innovative semiconductor solutions for imaging, audio, embedded modem, and video surveillance applications, announced that Phillip E. Pompa has joined the company in the newly created position of senior vice president of product marketing.

Pompa will lead the company’s worldwide marketing effort to gain share in all targeted segments and work closely with Conexant’s sales and engineering teams to define differentiated new products. He will report to Christian Scherp, Conexant co-president.

Pompa joined Conexant from Rational Semiconductor, where he was co-founder and served as president and chief executive officer for the past two years.
