POWAY, USA: Cohu Inc. announced that its Rasco GmbH subsidiary has shipped initial units of multi-system orders for its SO3000 test-in-strip handler recently received from a major US IDM. The handlers will be used for testing analog ICs at one of the customer’s Asia production facilities.
“We were challenged by our customers to deliver a high throughput and reliable system that significantly reduces cost of test,” said Luis Müller, Rasco’s Managing Director. “The SO3000 is the answer for high-volume production testing of cost sensitive ICs on a strip format.”
Designed for single-site up to full-strip tri-temperature testing, the SO3000 is an ideal solution for small packages and short test times, typical in analog ICs. With its modular construction, the SO3000 can be configured to handle a variety of lead-frames or strips, and can be adapted to different production flows that may require vision alignment, laser marking or inspection capabilities.
Cohu is a supplier of test handling, burn-in and thermal solutions used by the global semiconductor industry, microwave communications and video cameras.
